Dark Tower - Die Hard

The Dark Tower is a hit novel by Stephen King - the author of horror stories, now the book has been adapted into film but the quality of the film is sad.

The Dark Tower is a horror-fiction novel with an enormous world that consists of eight stories telling stories around the Tower of Darkness. This tower connects all the characters, landmarks, events in Stephen King's remaining novels into a multi-universe story. With its massive, complex storyline, dense character lines, The Dark Tower is thought not to be able to bring on the big screen, but Sony still cherishes the impossible. To ensure viewers of quality, the company has invited two stars hard indies Elbows and Matthew McConaughey but the most unfortunate thing is the funds poured for the film is extremely low The Dark Tower becomes a the film is extremely half-hearted.

The film mainly revolves around the world, a world parallel to the Earth and in the Middle A set a Tower of the Night. This is a "gate" that connects the entire world parallel to each other and protects the intrusion of external monsters into the world. Defending the tower is Gunslinger's only survivor, Roland Deschain. Their enemies are the dark forces headed by the mage Walter Padick. His goal now is to capture the children with special abilities and use them to destroy the tower to free the Crimson King. However, Jake Chambers has escaped and he alone has been wandering to the middle, searching for Roland to plan to stop Walter.

Good point of the film is in the opening, The Dark Tower clearly inherited a lot of attractions from the original series, a new world with many attractions are brought to the viewer. New races, unique concepts such as The Shine, Keyport ... The most outstanding feature of The Dark Tower is the performance of Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey. Idris is clearly portrayed as austere, a weary face with Roland's world. Matthew shows viewers the evil with his ingenious acting out of cold, perverse. So both of them showed the audience that the two forces of good-evil are very clear in this new world. But…

Their ability to play kissing couple can not save the whole movie, the plot is evenly and easily depressed. No point, not high, everything as a cat and mouse between two characters Roland and Walter and Jake boy is very faint. These two enemies even met each other at the end of the film. The relationship between these two enemies and some "falling in the sky" is also a big question for those who have never read Stephen King's book. This is a major mistake of The Dark Tower when trying to edit a massive novel system and stuffed it into a movie in 95 minutes only. Everything is very "bad" and out.

The story has been shortened, difficult to understand, technical skills are weak. The film cost is very limited only 60 million dollars but also invited two more big stars into the budget for the artwork has obviously been greatly reduced. The image in the film is quite dark with exaggerated external factors, lacking the natural images and architectural works of the Above. The combat scenes are also limited to the maximum and put aside for the final segment. The sad thing is that the combat skills, using the magic of Roland and Walter should be "holy", elaborate to create the visual effect is almost no. Most funny is that a magician with infinite power and extreme cruelty can only make people die by calling them ... breathing stops, simply unthinkable.

Great potential of The Dark Tower has been strangled from the eggs in the way too rush, the cost is tight. The two big stars did not have too much land in a movie where everything was so short. Perhaps besides the curious ones, the fans of the novel are the ones who feel the most disappointed with such a half-hearted transformation.
